Monterey Pines Golf Course and RV Park on the grounds of the Monterey Naval Post Graduate School was home for the night. Such a beautiful place. Once again I thank Tommy for his service in the Military. Carmel, Monterey, Pebble Beach, and the 17 Mile Drive. Wow. How the other half lives.
I was surprised to see such a variety of homes in this private community. I say private because to drive this 17 mile circle, around the various golf courses and beautiful homes, we were charged $9.50. Now these people are already worth millions, can you imagine how much the neighborhood takes in by charging $9.50 per car? I wonder if they have community dues after raking in all of that money? Ding Ding! Oh yeah back to the houses. You had homes that looked like the 1950’s with no renovations up to these massive mansions. I found that weird. I thought all of the homes would fall in the category of WWWOOOOWWW!
Is this why they call it Pebble Beach?
Just some shots from the 17 Mile Drive. I don’t know how they even hit the ball the winds are kicken. see how the trees grow from the wind blowing so hard Tommy is flying home for 5 days in the am to see his daughter Kerry, who, if you remember, recently was an organ donor. My daughter Erica is flying here for 6 days tomorrow evening. So we needed to get set up a day early in San Francisco. We are staying in the San Francisco RV park and it is directly in front of the Pacific Ocean. Wow what a view. Yep, this is home for the next week.
While having dinner tonight, this hawk was hovering right outside our RV trying to get it’s dinner. Look how close it was. I could see its eyes!
This was our sunset tonight. The breaking ocean waves, only12 to 14 feet away, will lull us to sleep tonight.
