Rogue River and Waterfalls

We stayed at Union Creek Campground and there isn’t a sole in sight. The Pines here are not Redwoods but are old growth pines, very large and tall.image

We hiked to the Rogue River to Natural Bridge which is formed by lava tubes diverting the water through the tubes and out to a different location. The tubes are formed from lava being cooled on the outside while the inside continued to flow forming a tube. image

image Rogue Gorge was our next destination where the waters flow deep here.image

image We discovered the Avenue of Boulders outside Prospect. This is an area on the river that has these huge boulders in and around it.image image image           To the left of these boulders and up a small mountain, we found these 2 waterfalls. We know one is called Millcreek Falls. image image

image                  It was a big ice cream cone for lunch and the rest of the day was lounging around the fire in the woods listening to the babbling creek. image

image A wonderful relaxing day.
