Traveling from Page to Sedona we encountered sheer desert and finally came upon the scenic route 89A through Oak Creek Canyon. WOW! Red rock, mountains with steep switch backs, minimal guard rails that lead to 1000 foot drops, lush valleys, rushing streams, cactus growing out of the red rock cliffs. 
Stunning scenery and a scary ride.
